In today’s market the first impression will be the only impression! 

Don’t get overwhelmed! Below are 3 easy steps to help you understand how to do this painlessly!


  1. Clean and De-clutter!  This is the most crucial step to successfully staging your home for a quick, high dollar sale! Your home must sparkle, so give your home a thorough cleaning from ceiling fans and light fixtures to baseboards, and closets. Clean homes sell more quickly! However, list your home with me and you can skip this step!  I will hire, at no charge to you, a professional cleaning service to do this for you!  Take the time to edit furniture in each room, paring down to only necessary pieces. Sort through stacks of papers and items lying around the house and put them in their appropriate places. Clean and organize all closets and cabinets, removing and packing away unused items or out of season clothing. Remember, buyers WILL open all closets and cabinet doors!

  2. Repair and Replace!   Address needed repairs BEFORE listing to help eliminate any potential buyer objections.  An excellent way to identify possible issues is to invest in a pre-inspection.   This can potentially save a seller significantly!  If problems are detected during a pre-inspection, the seller can choose to do these repairs himself or employ a handy man.  However, if  issues are found during a buyer inspection, sellers are required to use licensed contractors unless otherwise agreed to by all parties.  By repainting personalized, brightly colored walls, removing wallpaper, update lighting and outdated fixtures sellers can expect to not only sell more quickly, but at a higher price!

  3. Decorate!  Reverse decorating: De-personalize and create a blank canvas allowing potential buyers to visualize themselves in your home!  If you don't know where to start let me help you with a free, 2 hour consultation with a professional home stager.
